Orphan & Vulnerable Children (OVC) Feeding and Physical Care

Orphans and Vulnerable Children face many obstacles they must over come, as they develop in life. Many suffer from poor nutrition and the trauma, stigma, and discrimination associated with being orphaned or vulnerable. Social factors such as high unemployment rates increased household sizes, abuse, and domestic violence increase the need for care and support for vulnerable children. As many live in unsafe environments, they are not protected from physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

Children must be taught of their self worth and shown their remarkable potential. The cycle of poverty and having a begging mindset will be repeated unless educating organizations, communities and individuals breaks the chain.

We want to focus on sustainable feeding projects.  Practically managing the need is our focus and equipping individuals to successfully provide for their own needs, teaching children to become small business entrepreneurs through farming. By teaching communities the skills needed to produce organic foods, the improvement of their nutritional intake will be attainable, paired with greater food security.

In close partnership with partners around the world we provide food to starving children as we identify these needs while launching our programmes throughout the nation.  We source the best food at the best prices to ensure that these children not only  receive the true hope of Christ, but also feel the warmth of His hand and the care of His embrace through the hands of so many making an impact in South Africa.  From the mothers in communities taking in children in need, to the programme managers helping hundreds of children, we partner and assist to the best of our ability to ensure that no one has to be send away with an empty stomach or a lost soul.

Currently we are able to feed children for less than R2 per meal.
