South Africa is known as a country with great potential. It’s children are the adults of tomorrow and they will be responsible for the survival of a nation.
Unfortunately, South Africa’s children have been neglected due to many causes such as poverty, HIV and AIDS and its effects. We are sitting with masses of children who are orphaned and in dire circumstances, with huge potential to make an impact in this world.
The Letter Network programme takes these orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) from their isolation and introduces them to healthy families and individuals who will mentor and disciple them.
Through the medium of letter writing correspondence, the Letter Network Programme enables these children to embark on a journey of discovery, not only about life but about themselves.
With the difficult circumstances these children find themselves in, a word spoken in season can transform their lives. Words have the power of life and death. These children desperately need a life giving touch through words of encouragement, words of life.
A Mentor is an experienced and trusted advisor of the young. Through the Letter Network programme, we reach and disciple orphans that have been left to fend for themselves or who have no one to mentor and guide them through the many tough decisions they will need to make for their future.
